The Respect Party: Working for a better Tower Hamlets

August 9, 2009

Welcome to the blog that brings you all the news from the Respect Party group on Tower Hamlets Council.

Led by Abjol Miah (Shadwell), our team of six councillors work very hard to represent ordinary people in the East End’s local government. Throughout the year, they are fighting for you – to end the scandal in housing provision, for better schools and streets, for full employment and business opportunities and for everyone to be able to realise their full potential. You can find out more about the councillors and the work they do here.

But this blog is not just about telling you about what we have been up to. We also want to hear from as many of you as possible. It doesn’t matter if you don’t live or work in a ward we represent – all of Tower Hamlets has a common character, problems and challenges that we believe we can overcome only by listening to everyone and working together. That’s why we are keen for you to post comments and questions. So many of us, when we think about it, have ideas for how to make Tower Hamlets a better place. Share them with us here.
