‘Students Campaigning for Peace, Justice and Equality’ is this Saturday (10th October) 10.30am – 5.30pm!

Salma Yaqoob will open the event, which starts at 10.30am. Salma has played an inspirational and leading in the campaign to oppose the far right marches by the English Defence League in Birmingham over the summer.

Politicised by the “war on terror”, she will be sharing her experiences as leader of the Respect Party and high-profile campaigner for peace and justice!

This fantastic start to the day will be followed by a number of sessions where we will have the opportunity for in-depth discussion:

* Fighting for global justice: opposing war and imperialism – Viva Palestina – for socialism in the twenty-first century
* Students and the economic crisis – opposing higher fees and winning free education
* One society many cultures – opposing the racist offensive

The Forum will end with George Galloway MP, who has led the two Viva Palestina convoys, which have both succeeded in breaking the siege of Gaza to deliver vital humanitarian aid & solidarity to the Palestinian people this year.

George Galloway has a long and outstanding record of leading movements for international peace and social justice – do not miss this electrifying end to what promises to be a brilliant day of discussion!

Please see the full agenda below.

The National Forum is taking place in the Brunei Gallery (Room B102) at SOAS University, Thornhaugh Street, Russell Square, Central London, WC1H 0XG.

THIS EVENT IS COMPLETELY FREE – register on the day from 10.30am.

See you there!
