Convoy departs on Sunday to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza

December 4, 2009

This Sunday morning, local Respect MP George Galloway will lead a convoy of ambulances, vans and cars as they embark on a journey across Europe to break the siege of Gaza in Palestine. The people of Gaza need humanitarian aid now more than ever, and you can help see off the Viva Palestina convoy as they begin their long and vital journey.

Due to logistical difficulties, not all of the vehicles going to Gaza will be coming into Central London. Those driving the 15 ambulances dedicated to the memory of the paramedics killed during Israel’s assault on Gaza last December/ January whilist on duty will attend a photo call and mini send off for supporters, families and the media. This will take place on the Embankment between Westminster Bridge and Hungerford Bridge at 10am.

Tower Hamlets Respect hopes you can join us to send off the convoy.
