Abjol Miah: for a fairtrade Bethnal Green and Bow!

February 25, 2010

Abjol Miah, Respect PPC for Bethnal Green and Bow, today called for greater government support for East End businesses that want to adopt ethically and environmentally friendly processes.

The move came as the leader of the Respect group on Tower Hamlets Council took part in a Fairtrade Foundation event to mark Fairtrade Fortnight.

Abjol Miah said: “More and more cafes, bars, restaurants and small businesses are seeing the benefit of selling fairly traded, quality goods. During this recession it’s important that we raise the banner of fair trade to fuel recovery and help bring about international social justice.”

“Sadly, the government has not seized this opportunity to help small businesses prosper.”

This guy, he is everywhere, was he not on top of some mountain somewhere in another country raising money for charity? then the Palestine convoy then the UK to Sylhet drive, wow he’s got energy. In contrast the Labour girl is just digging her head in the sand. does she think she will go through on the ‘oxford’ ticket??? If she is invisible like this in the run up to the election then what will happen to her god forbid if she is elected, I don’t think we will see her until election 2015.
